This month we partnered with a ministry called Operation Jabez.
A team from New Jersey wanted to join us for a breakfast to minister to the
Friends of Jesus.
First the women were ready right when we came to pick them up.
This of course gave us more time to be able to minister God’s Love to them. His
love came in a powerful way this morning! Right from the beginning of worship
there was a strong sense of His Presence. From there Karla felt that God was
healing people so she gave some specific words of knowledge and the ladies
testified of having those very ailments. Jesus touched their bodies and healed
them!
Operation Jabez gave two powerful testimonies and Karla shared a
great word. Many ladies were touched and weeping as they felt God’s Presence.
Many of these ladies attended the breakfast for the first time.

This was our first time in Dominican Republic. We had the privilege to go with our home church, Lakemount Worship Centre. It was great to partner with them and the Samaritan Foundation. Our time there was very refreshing and we saw God move powerfully!
We started off by going to a nearby church where Pastor Matt Tapley preached a powerful message on Mark 5. God then gave me some words of knowledge for healing to take place in the service. 3 people came up to testify of God’s miracle power touching their bodies!! One lady had a cataract on her eye that disappeared and she was able to read her Bible again! Another lady had some heart trouble and pain down her arm. The night before people on the team had seen that she couldn’t lift her arm. After prayer she was lifting her arm and praising Jesus! Click here to hear the testimonies!
We also had 2 powerful nights of Revival meetings. Pastor Matt Tapley preached both nights and God’s power touched people. Karla prayed for 2 ladies with back problems and both of them were healed. (One had suffered for 10 years and the other for 15 years).
One man came with a cane the first night, God healed his knee and he left without using his cane. He also came back on night 2 and didn’t bring his cane. He was healed! One young girl was healed of a hernia that I felt disappear!
We also went to the streets of Sosua. This is a city where there is lots of sex tourism. Karla went on the streets with a few ladies to minister to prostitutes. They brought them each a rose and asked to pray for them. Many of them accepted and they experienced God’s love!
These are just a few testimonies of what God did in Dominican Republic!

This little girl’s hernia disappeared. I felt it before and after!
We also had an amazing
time in El Salvador with Pastor Eric & Michelle Johns and their family. The
Holy Spirit was moving in every service. We spoke in a new church for the first
time called Iglesia El Camino (The Way Church). Here many people were baptized
in the Holy Spirit and many people were healed. Deaf ears opened and backs were
healed. The people were hungry and many came up for prayer.
We did the Holy Spirit seminar there as well and many were filled
with the Holy Spirit. On Sunday morning Pastor Michelle preached a great
message and we saw many healings there as well. One damaged shoulder was
healed, neck & back pain were healed with many others.

We always have a great time with the Buffalo Dream Center. Our visions are very much the same in many ways. We hosted Pastors Eric & Michelle Johns and a team of 6 people from the Buffalo Dream Center. Each member was eager and willing to help.
God showed up at every
meeting. We had our regular events such as, House of Refuge services, friends
of Jesus breakfast and school outreaches. This time we also celebrated House of
Refuge’s 14th Anniversary and we held a Holy Spirit seminar.
At the Holy Spirit
seminar we saw many people baptized with the Holy Spirit for the first time. At
the Anniversary service we saw many powerful miracles. One tumor on breast
disappeared, a hernia vanished and a boy deaf/mute began to hear and speak!

We had an amazing week with the Chesley, Ontario team. We
visited some schools, had a Friends of Jesus breakfast, services at House of
Refuge and Shaddai Church. We went door to door, street evangelism and so much
more. God moved in every place. One school we visited in Chiquimulilla was a
highlight. We thought we were going for the children but it ended up that a
traffic policewoman and many teachers received a touch from God that day. The
traffic policewoman is a mother of one of the students and she needed healing.
God healed her of a migraine and then she received Jesus in her heart!
Every place we went God poured out His Spirit.
Many people experienced His love through this team. It was great to have them
for the 3rd year in a row. To see more pictures with this team, click here.

The things that I’ve seen
and experienced in House of Refuge have been life-changing. It’s an honor to be
able to be a part of this ministry. While I’m here I get to help with many
different areas of the ministry. Mainly I help organize, and get things ready
for the services. Along with that I also help preach and minister to the
people. A lot of the people who come just want someone to talk to, and someone
to show them that they care and love them. Sometimes just by taking the time to
listen to them, and pray with them can completely change their hearts. I also
had the opportunity to start two new ministries in House of Refuge. I teach
English as a second language to children, and soon I will be giving ballet
lessons to the young girls in House of Refuge. As I’m teaching the children I
also use it as a chance to minister to them, and pour into the next generation.
I’m very excited about everything God is doing with this great ministry, and
personally I am growing and learning so much just by being a part of it.

On this trip to Saskatchewan we have had the
opportunity to minister in different places and it has been a great honour. We
were able to share twice in the Bible College that we received our Bachelor’s
degree from. We taught the students on growing in Spiritual gifts. The students
were very eager to learn.
After teaching the
Bible College students we ministered to children ages 8-17 about how God can use them. Many children got
healed of different ailments. The next time we ministered, we had the kids pray
for the sick. Three people received healing from back pain! To see more
pictures, click here.
Every weekend we have
been in a different church. Sometimes we minister twice on Sundays. As
mentioned earlier, God has been healing people in every service. To watch
recorded services please like our public figure page.
(This is different
from our personal Facebook page).
Once again we are very pleased to have Mikayla Johns back with us. She helped us for 5 months from January through June. She was able to fit in very well and has been a great help to the ministry. This time she is only here for a couple of months but she is very happy and ready to help in many ways.
Mikayla will be teaching English to children from ages 6-12. The children are already very excited. She will also be helping minister and preach at House of Refuge, Shaddai Church and many others. She helps wherever needed and has a heart for evangelism so goes with us whenever we do.
This past week we had a team of 13 people from New Vida Church in St. Catharines. It was an all Spanish team and so gave a different dynamic to everything. We went to the streets and were able to minister to many men because everyone could communicate and no one was asking for a translation. It made our job very easy. (Don’t misunderstand me, we love translating for everyone. It was just a different dynamic.)
This team as well came to bless and to serve. Apart from our regular activities we also did a blessing day for the men. We invited them to come to House of Refuge on Monday afternoon and the team gave them a haircut, shave, a new change of clothes, slightly used shoes, a snack and lots of love and prayers. The smiles on their faces said enough. There was lots of laughter and fun.
Thanks so much New Vida team for all the people that you blessed while here, including us.
We had a team from The Bridge Church Denton, Texas visit us for the first time. We connected well as everyone on the team had a heart to serve. God’s Presence was felt in every outreach that we did. This team participated in our regular outreaches such as House of Refuge services, Friends of Jesus Breakfast, ministering in the streets, etc.. They also reached out to a school that we hadn’t been to in awhile. For the first time we went to the shelter for the volcano victims in Escuintla. We had asked the pastor in charge beforehand what was the immediate need and how could we help. He said that they needed meat as most people give rice, beans, eggs but not much food for lunch. So we gladly blessed them with 50 lbs of meat to be able to give them a few meals. We also gave 25 lbs of rice and beans.
We are grateful for this team and all that they did while they were here. We hope to see this team again in the future.
